We were about to leave so I stood up. I noticed that Emerald’s shoelaces were undone. She was wearing shoes for comfort now. And with everything now out in the open, we openly cared for each other.
“Emmie, stay right there,” I said to her and she nodded. I went to her side and sat on my knee to tie her shoelaces. Exactly at that moment, two violinists came next to us and started playing.
“What are you guys doing?” I asked them and they had questioning looks. They suddenly stopped.
“Aren’t you the one who asked us to play for your proposal?” One of the guys asked and I shook my head.
