They all ended up staying for dinner and we decided to order food and not trouble Linda and Brenda, who soon left. Alvin and Miles went to get some bottles of wine and champagne.
“Let’s toast, get the glasses,” Dad said and I glared at him. He gave me an apologetic look and I nodded.
I couldn’t drink and here he was doing everything he could to make it obvious. Aiden and Miles went to fetch the glasses while Miranda came by my side.
“What will you do now?” Miranda asked me worriedly and I shook my head.
