Given that Dad hadn’t received the news well but after that announcement, he had just departed from my room. I yearned to go chase him and elucidate it to him but I ended up providing him time and space to comprehend my situation.
He inferred what a family meant to me. I didn’t want my child to have a step-family, no matter what. So, I was going to overcome anything if I could give my child a real family. I knew what it was to have a step-family and history won't be repeating itself.
My family here only consisted of Dad because he was my father. I had nothing against Hayden or Karen because they understood me well. And with Kayla, I was just jealous that she took half of my love from Dad.
