The sun hung low in the sky as Tony and I cruised through the nearly deserted streets, heading towards the warehouse just outside of town. The new house was close by—close enough to keep an eye on both the operation and Grace. Everything was lining up, but my mind couldn’t shake the thought of Grace cooped up alone in that place.
