ALONE IN THE HUMAN WORLD
The city lights blurred in Jasmine’s eyes as she walked through the crowded streets. The distant sounds of laughter and music only reminded her how alone she really was.
For the first time in her life, she wasn’t being watched, criticized, or humiliated—but that didn’t make the emptiness any easier to bear.
She found a small café tucked between two tall buildings. Inside, the warm light and smell of coffee were strangely comforting.
“Can I help you?” asked a cheerful voice.
Jasmine looked up to see a young woman with pale skin and piercing eyes. “I… I need work,” Jasmine said quietly.
“I can use someone who works hard,” the woman said with a smile. “I’m Sarah, and I think you’ll fit right in.”
As Jasmine cleaned tables and served coffee, she couldn’t stop thinking about the events at Blue Moon Pack. Her father’s disdain. Linda’s smug smile. And Alpha Kael’s rejection.
The pain in her chest felt like it would never end. But then… something strange happened.
She touched her chest—right over her heart—and a warmth spread through her body. Not the warmth of a beating heart, but something… older. Stronger.
“What… is this?” she whispered.
Her golden eyes glowed faintly, unnoticed by the customers. The warmth pulsed like a heartbeat, leaving her both terrified and fascinated.
That evening, while closing the café, Sarah approached her.
“You feel it too, don’t you?” she asked softly.
Jasmine blinked. “Feel what?”
“That power inside you,” Sarah said. “I can sense it. It’s ancient… and it’s waiting. I can help you control it—but only if you want to embrace it.”
Jasmine shook her head, unsure if she was ready. “I don’t even know what I am anymore.”
Sarah placed a reassuring hand on hers. “You’re more than you think. And soon… the world will know it too.”
That night, as Jasmine lay in her small, rented room, the golden light in her eyes flared again. A shadowy figure watched from the rooftops, sensing her awakening power.
Somewhere in the supernatural world, the events that began at Blue Moon Pack were only the beginning.
