Evelyn’s Pov
It was finally night time and my heart couldn’t stop beating. I had been awake, patiently waiting for the moment when everyone would have gone to sleep. That way, the chances of getting caught would be a lot more slimmer.
Finally, I was certain that no one would come into my room anymore since they were probably asleep. I picked up my bag and made to leave through the front door, but on a second thought, I realized that the window was going to be a better option.
I swirled around and went over to the window, swiftly throwing my bag to the ground. A small smiled curved to my face when I realized that I was almost a step away from freedom.
The window was quite tinier than I had expected and this got me wriggling my body to fit into it. I groaned in pain as it started dawn
