It wasn’t the best of mornings for me. Ever since my father announced the decision he made about taking another wife, i felt odd and unable to be pacified. I felt wronged and greatly disappointed.
I knew that I had no right to do so, but it sounded as though it was easy for him to forget my mother and take another wife.
It’s been a hard time for all of us. The past few years following my mother’s death were the darkest parts of my life and I was yet to get through that time even till now.
Despite everything, I knew that I had a role to play and that was why I went out to keep track of each of the security guards who would be keeping watch all through the day. That was the role assigned to me and despite how bad I felt at the moment, I couldn’t ignore it.
