I’m giddy, like a little kid. Evan asked me out right in front of his mother. For the first time, I do not feel like I’m some man’s dirty little gay secret.
“Jay, sweetie, will you stop being Mary Poppins for a moment and just pass me that damn creamer?” Mitzi snapped at me.
“Well, excuse me, Miss Sunshine,” I replied.
She gasped and said, “I’m not like that fat cow! How dare you call me that wannabe queen? I am a star; she is just a queen with cheap wigs.”
Mitzi was referring to Aura Sunshine, a rival drag queen of hers. When Mitzi gets bitchy, I call her Miss Sunshine to let her know she’s acting up. It gets her every time.
