I slowly walked into the room in sadness and frustration, as I gently opened the door I saw Nina wrapped in John’s arms, they were both sleeping peacefully and quietly.
I covered their body with a blanket and I walked towards the window, gazing at the moon.
“It’s a beautiful night tonight” I said my voice barely above a whisper. I looked back at John and Nina, I smiled.
As I lay beside Nina, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I had thought that finding a family and coming back to John would bring me happiness, but now it seemed like problems were all I had. I hugged Nina tightly, feeling a sense of protectiveness wash over me.
