The Aftermath

Sedrick:

I called Eric immediately and told him that we needed to leave.He was not happy since it was ten o’clock at night but I needed to get out of here. My room smelled like her and our s*x. It was making me go against everything that I had done. I wanted to track her down and beg her for forgiveness. 

Eric met me in the lobby and we checked out. As soon as we got in the car he tried to question me. I just told him that it didn’t work out and I was ready to call it quits. There is nothing to do here in Augusta anyways. He agreed and didn’t speak to me again. It was the longest damn drive of my life. I wanted to be back home in my bed again. I needed to start fresh. I was going to mark Star as soon as possible. Sebastian be damned. 

Sebastian:

Once ten pm hit, I could not relax for anything. I was on edge and so was my wolf. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I tried to reach out to my brother but he had all links blocked. 

Suddenly, Blaze was pulling through. He wasn’t making any sense but he made us feel like something bad had happened to Sed or Sed did something bad. He just kept crying out that everything was ruined. As quickly as he linked us, he was gone. I picked up my phone and tried to call Sed but he wouldn’t answer me. 

I mind linked Eric asking what was wrong. He just said that Sed started freaking out and wanted to leave. He didn’t know why but he knew that Sed had met with a girl. He could smell her on him. It was not a scent that he knew but it was human. I have never used my Alpha command on Eric before but I did not regret doing it now. Something was up and I had to know what it was. I paced the entryway of our pack home until those headlights lit up the windows and then I was out the door. 

“Sed, what is wrong? Don’t say nothing or that it is not any of my concern. My wolf is going crazy.” Slade was whining in my head still. As I got closer to him, I was hit with this amazing smell. A warm fire, a pine, tree, and fresh cookies. It was the smell of Christmas that we only wished that we had. Slade suddenly yelled, “Mate”, and it was on. 

I was in Sedricks face before he had even made it to the first step of the house. “Where is she? You found our mate and didn’t tell me!”. I was furious. He knew that I had been waiting and looking for her since we turned eighteen. How could he do this to me? To her?

“She wasn’t good enough to be our Luna. I let her down easily.”

“How dare you?! Of course she was good enough! The Moon Goddess would have never paired her with us if she hadn’t been. Where is she?” I have never wanted to rip my brother apart before but at this moment I was one step away from doing so. How could he hurt her? She should be our queen. She should be cherished. 

“I am not going to tell you where she is. You will just run to her and accept her without any thought.”

“Why is it, dear brother, that you think she wasn’t good enough to be our Luna?”

“She is human, first of all. Second, she doesn’t look like a Luna should.”

“What does that mean exactly? How are Luna’s suppose to look?” He can not be this shallow to reject our mate over how she looks. 

“She is short, frumpy, and fat. She is too big to be our Luna.”

I can’t even respond to him. Is he that stupid and shallow. There is no code for how a Luna should look. I bet she was beautiful. He just doesn’t want to give up Star. Star is nothing but a ladder climbing w***e. She doesn’t love him and she sure as hell doesn’t love me. 

“I am going to find her and you had better hope that when I do that she is just fine. I have never been so angry or disappointed in you. I am not even sure that I want to be Alpha with you anymore.”

“Don’t say that Sebastian. We rule together. This is our pack.”

I just walked away. I need to find her as quickly as I possibly could. I know that they went to Augusta so I will start there. She has to be somewhere near there. I may call in our best tracker to help find her too. I quickly snagged Sed’s jacket from the car that smelled like her. I may need it to find her. 

“We’re coming, my love.”
