chapter 2: Another world?

"{{Arianna's/ Lillian's pov}}"

After a while, I heard commotion around me which is making my head hurt even more, I only managed to let out a soft painful groan on my dry throat "ugh..." was all I could say before my mind went dark again. Another hour had passed and I managed to open my eyes.

Around me was dark the only thing I managed to see in the darkness were the bed frame it was big and on the right side was a glass door with a big balcony, outside was full trees, the sounds of the nightly critters could be heard, I slowly stood up from the soft bed, feeling my body waiver and almost fall on the floor but I managed to grab the bedside table to balance, I limp across the room slowly as my body still felt weak.

"Where am I? I thought I would be in the hospital...this...looks weird" I looked around my surrounding, it was spacious, beautiful to say the least

"...chandelier??" I continued to look around and saw a big mirror, I couldn't believe it who is that girl? beautiful blonde curly hair, light blue eyes that would almost be as beautiful as the sea.

" Who is this girl? no way...is this me!? But how is this possible.... I...come to think of it...I...this isn't the hospital nor my house..." I looked around my surroundings, the room around is...just..." everything looked so expensive.... I don't even want to move I might break something...wait, is this pure gold?" I walked towards the mirror looking at its frame and hesitantly bit it.

Meanwhile:

"{{Violet's/Queen's pov}}"

I was on my way to the princess's chamber's as I couldn't finish any paperwork, my hands were still trembling at happened in the afternoon. " For the princess to take such drastic measures... why would she do it...no, the princess is still at fault... she hurt.. Lia... Even though I've told her multiple times that Lia and I..are already done...she decided to hurt her?... I can't push that aside."

I sighed and rubbed my temples and looked down at my desk seeing the piled up paperwork I decided to visit the princess to see what she was doing, I stood up from my chair and quickly walked out of the door, my steps were quick with

I watched as the princess slowly backed away from the mirror and turned around to look at me with a nervous smile. "Uhm...h-hi...?" the princess nervously spoke up and chuckled, I sighed and rubbed my temples.

"Princess...what...are you doing?" I walked towards her, taking her hands in mine I looked at her wounded knuckles and rubbed it, I was about to kiss it like I usually do but before I could kiss it, she took her hand away and spoke.

"Uhm...wh-who...are you?" my hands dropped to me side as I felt my heart drop at her words.

" Huh? she doesn't remember me? No...no no no no.... we....no I can't believe this."

"Princess it...It's me...your- " Before I could continue speaking, she spoke up. "Princess? What are you talking about? I think you mistook me for someone else." I backed away as my heart felt like it was breaking in half, I called the maids to get the palace doctor.

A while had passed when the doctor had arrived with his tools as I sat the princess down on the chair and the doctor examined her and bandaging up her wounded knuckles.

After what felt like an eternity the doctor looked at me with a sad expression before he spoke, "my Queen, would it be alright if the two of us talk outside?" I felt the anxiety rose inside of me as I nodded. "Yes of course." Before I left, I faced the head maid and ordered her, "make sure that you complete or answer any of the princess's questions, got it?" I watched as the head maid bowed and nodded as I left with the doctor and talk outside.

As me and the doctor were outside, he spoke in a solemn tone "my....my Queen...it seems that the princess had hit her head when she jumped off of the cliff, which is a surprise to see the princess already woken up from her injury from the fall..."

The doctor let out a shaky breath and continued "the princess...it seems that...she had lost her memories..." I frowned as I heard what he said and leaned on the wall. "Is that even possible?"

The doctor nodded and looked at her. "it is quite possible my Queen, since the princess was found late...it was a good thing the healers could heal the severe wounds...but it seems that it was already late...since her memory already got affected..."

I felt my worry grow deeper as I listened to the doctor and ran a hand through my hair and looked at the doctor" way to cure her?" I spoke in a dejected tone the doctor spoke and sighed. "I'm afraid there are...since there are cases like this similar to the princess... just give her some time my Queen, I'm sure it will slowly come back to her." I nodded and took note of what the doctor said.

I waved my hand away as the doctor bowed and left leaving me in the hallway alone with my own thoughts, "why...why didn't I believe in the princess...but... why ... I don't understand "

Just as I was about to walk into my chambers, I heard my First love call out to me. "Violet!...wait." I turn around as I felt all my worry slowly go away. "Yes? do you need anything, Lia?" I spoke in a soft tone as a small smile formed on my face as I watched her come near me and spoke, she was out of breath and gasping.

"h-hey....uhm... how's.. Lili-...I mean...how is the princess?" I couldn't help but smile at what she said. No matter how badly the princess spoke or did to her, she's always so kind and thoughtful.

"the princess seems to have lost her memories...but the doctors said that she'll need time to heal some of her wounds...the healers are still resting from overusing their mana from healing up the princess."

I sighed and gently touched Lia's face as I saw her worry eyes, "do not fret...the other wounds had already healed...the remaining ones are small wounds on her knuckles... don't worry."
