Sierra's POV
I had no idea how many hours I've been waiting here after we got home from that place, and my nervousness increases whenever heard someone coming or maybe footsteps. It must be his very strict guards that roaming around this massive house, and their footsteps triggers me badly.
This room is quite nice. The interiors, vases and also the furnitures. I bet it cost so much money, that even me can't afford. In that case, this man is richer that I thought, he's not just a powerful boss that can rule whoever he wanted, but also a very terrifying man who can kill you using his attractive eyes.
Wait, did I just said attractive? When did I paid attention to his face?
"Glad you're already here," he stated and I didn't felt him open the door maybe I was to busy and didn't even notice his presence.
"Trevor told me your rushing," I answered.
"He did? Well, I just want to make sure you're in the good hands and safe at the same time. What about you? How are you?" He asked.
I was surprised when he asked me about myself, but restrain myself from smiling, "I'm good. You? I heard you have so many business to deal every single day."
"Not quite huge, but enough to make me rich."
Arrogant. Tsk! He didn't change, Sierra. Maybe I have to stop thinking he'll going to change since he need me.
Yeah, in your freaking dreams, Sierra.
"How's your brother?" He inquired.
"Let me guess, you want to know if my brother is still breathing to offer me another agreement and offer me another amount of money."
He scoffed, "Good guess, but no. I politely asking you about your brother since you already meet my enemies. Especially since they know you, am I right?"
I forgot that part, argh!
"Care to explain why my enemy is your enemy?"
I sighed because he probably miss that exciting part of my life, or maybe he didn't dare to check that exciting part.
"Sierra?" He cleared his throat after saying my name.
I looked at him, "My mother has so many debts. That is why they chasing me to pay the money my mother left to us, and you probably miss the most exciting part of my life."
"No, I didn't. I intentionally asked you although I already know the reason. Just making sure I am dealing to the right woman," he replied.
"Dealing to the right woman? What does it even mean?" I confusedly questioned.
"Let's move on, we need to make your security more tighter because those bastards will going to come back."
I knew it.
"What kind of security are we talking about?" I asked.
However, before he could answer someone came inside and his smile is uncomfortable to see. I am referring to Trevor who's smiling at me like he's about to poop.
"Don't you know the word privacy, Trevor?" He asked, annoyed.
"Oh, I know actually. Privacy stands for no one is allowed to invade or enter your private life or things," he answered that almost made me laugh, but immediately shut my mouth.
Brandon shook his head and uttered, "Don't you dare start me with this stupidity, Trevor. Unless you wanna see your girl hanging on the ceiling."
"Chill, Brandon. I came to tell you that Mr. Chua paid you a visit, and guess what he brought you so many gifts!" He muttered like a gay. Wtf?!
I'm wondering if this man is a real man or hiding behind this muscular body, who knows.
"Chua? You gotta be kidding me," Brandon said.
"Why? Is he one of your uninvited guest?" I said.
"Sort of," he stood up and grabbed a gun to his desk, and then check it's bullet. After that, take it inside his coat and glanced at me, "Stay here."
"Wait, can't I just stay to my room? I don't want to see any gunshots."
Trevor chuckled, "Sorry to hear that, Sierra. I'm apologizing now because this mansion was not a soundproof, which means you have no choice."
"But—"
"Listen carefully, Sierra," his serious voice stop me, "You enter this life and have to get use to it eventually. My life circulated around bullets and guns, that's why you have to endure every body you saw and every person we'd kill."
"Even though the person you kill is innocent?" I inquired, enough to stop him and made the whole room wrapped with silence.
"Uh-oh, wrong word babe. Brandon never done such a thing, even though he looks like a guy who can murder so many people in one snap."
Trevor approach me and tap my shoulder, "But believe me, Sierra. Brandon is a good guy, he'll never kill an innocent person. He couldn't even kill a single cockroach, so don't be afraid."
"I'm not afraid, okay? I'm stating the fact, so you don't have to cover his sins and make him looks like an angel who fell from heaven. I'm good," So, I remove his hands to my shoulder and moved a little away from him.
Well, we're not close yet. So, I don't have to tell why I don't trust them yet right?
"Enough, let's go. He probably waiting for us and we shouldn't let our guest wait," he uttered and went outside.
I was left all alone again, and don't have a choice but to wait and pretend the gunfire I am about to hear is nothing. They just testing their guns. Yeah, that's all...
I couldn't stand the boredom and approach that window from my side, after that open it because I need some air. But the air here is not enough... I need air that is not roaming around to this hell...
"Dad... If you're here maybe I wasn't here. Maybe I don't have to serve my life into this dangerous agreement, and living peacefully and normally... I missed you so much... Please, I need you..." I wipe the tears that escaped my eyes, and laughed.
"He definitely laughing at me because I'm weak..." I sighed.
