Three days later, Scot Vincent called Alexander to give him an update. “Cloudtop Villa is ready,” he announced.
Alexander nearly dropped the phone in disbelief. “Anna, our house is ready! Let’s move in today!”
Anna paused in the middle of what she was doing.
She frowned. “What house?”
Alexander grinned. “Didn’t I tell you? I bought Cloud9 Villa!”
Anna blinked. Then she laughed. “Alexander, are you bluffing again?”
Her disbelief made Alexander sigh dramatically. “Darling, if you don’t believe me, come and see for yourself.”
His serious expression was enough to make her second-guess her doubt. For a man who had spent most of his time teasing her, this new confidence seemed unusually real. Still, she wasn’t about to give him the satisfaction too easily.
