Ayla's POV
I stiffened at Selena's words. Still torn between believing her or holding my ground. Her tone just hit a nerve I hadn't realized was exposed and I know if Alpha Liam was here he'd just sweep her out of the estate.
"I haven't turned my back on Alpha Liam," I replied while staring at her intently. "I've been doing everything to support him."
Selena just shook her head as her eyes gleamed with pity.
"Then prove it," she said while stepping closer in my direction. "Are you not aware that Alpha Liam's expedition will lead him through dangerous territory? You should be worried about him, Ayla. He's expanding his domain while facing the threat given by other packs, and you are the sole reason why everything is happening."
