The king was being aroused and she knew not what was coming for her, gently pushing her to the bed,her eyes were shot and as he moved his hands under her dress and moved freely and slowly up her legs ,this made her feel hot but she knew the consequences if there were caught ,with all might she suppressed her desires and pushed the king aside and told him, "its far too dangerous besides your presence might be needed and Queen Amaya ....., she was cut short by Jason who said" she doesn't matter to me more than you do, I wish I had met you before Amaya ",

" Everything happens for a reason,we should go and kissing him one last time on the lips ,she left through the door and soon Jason followed. It was 11:15pm ,soon in less than 45mins ,they would separate, everyone was eating and drinking but she didn't have appetite for all this,she was never the party type .As she made to leave she bumped into Lord Laguard ,"My Lord ,I'm so sorry, taking a cloth she cleaned the drink she spilled on him ,"its okay princess, can I speak to you","sure,any problem "," No,just wanted to ask you a question concerning the last council meeting, have you found an alliance? "," Not yet My Lord but I will "," good ,that means you have come to terms with that ,lovely .You know your father and I were close friends he said as they took a stroll through the garden ,though I was three years older than him,he acted more maturely than I did ,I always enjoyed his company, talking about wars and beautiful ladies he would marry ,I did laugh telling him you can't marry more than one wife but he did never listen ,he was stubborn and got into trouble ,he had met your mom when he was 18, you could say we both fell head over heels for her,this made Lisa to smile ,but your father won over her heart ,your mother was a very beautiful woman and a brave one, stole the heart of men but chose to be with your father, he was the first man to ever challenge her and for that she fell deeply in love with him and got married, he was 27 when he married your mom and she was 23,wars had delayed their being together but at last two souls meant for it each other were united .The day you were born was the happiest day of their life symbol of their love but as time flew by, enemies grew from both sides and they were murdered, a great Queen and King killed, the case had to be concealed since there was no solid proof....","I was a proof ,I saw it all,tears welled up in her eyes","Yes but you were just a little girl,I knew you spoke the truth but no one would believe you. " I do", then they heard a noise louder than usual,they were having a toast ,the full was out," we should go back said Lord Laguard ,when they arrived, she caught sight of Jason and looked away ,Lord Laguard knew of their love but yet he kept it a secret . In less than 10 mins ,everyone was gone ,the courtyard was now utterly deserted, the men in the castle drinking and merrily and the females in the hall ,her painting hung on the wall as people admired it, she was pleased with herself ,the door was shut closed as it was forbidden for one to come out once in not until the sun rises or it could incur some severe penalties.

As they started changing into their night garments ,princess Elizabeth made to go into her changing room when all of a sudden, Queen Amaya spilled some juice on her, she looked up," oops, I'm sorry ",before she could speak up for herself ,Queen Lisa intervened on her behalf ," you know even if you throw soda or juice all over her face ,the fact she is more beautiful than you remains ", oooohhh,everyone gasped,she was so furious and stormed out ,handing the princess a napkin," you shouldn't let her intimidate you,she always looks for the weak", "Don't worry ,I can handle her, princess added".

Escorting her to her chambers, she removed her dress behind curtains and then all of a sudden something fell out, a card and a locket ,reading it " To my dearest Queen, happy moon festival",she opened it ,it was her picture, she looked glamorous, how did he get her childhood picture and that of her today, she smiled, putting the card back and wearing the locket ,she got into a blue light gown and a pair of white sandals and then she met Lila sitting on a couch,"You done",

"Yeah", " Before we go,I wanted to know ,we are friends, right?", " Friends "," Yes ,are we","Sure", "Good, let's go,I mean you don't plan on staying in your room throughout the night ,you have to socialise and enjoy your time ,OK", " OK".She had never had friends before but it wouldn't hurt to try. Dancing and drinking filled the air, when all of a sudden a scream was heard, it was one of the maiden she had slitted her wrist and it gushed out excessive blood,running to help, Princess Elizabeth tried all her best to help but in this condition there was little she could do, some pitied her while others reprimanded and told her she deserved it for eavesdropping on their conversation.

Not knowing what to do, left in this state she could die, she had no option, the garden had some herbal leaves that would heal and ease the pain, but it was a taboo to go outside not until the sun comes up. Running out and opening the door since she had no option left, she ran through the garden and picked up some herbs, the men caught sight of her and what she wore,they have a devilish smile but wondered what she was doing out, soon she was gone and back inside ,turning to look again they didn't see her, so they concluded that they must have been hallucinating.

Grinding the herbs extracting it's medicine, she applied it on the wound, gave her some to drink and bandaged it up. She was indeed grateful to the Queen for saving her life. On looking up, the Princess saw all eyes were on her, then she realised what she had done but was willingly to pay the price than watch someone die before her eyes. Whispers went round the hall and she walked back to her chambers followed by Lila who pursued her to know if she was okay.

Queen Amaya smiled to herself, the Princess made a mistake she could use it to her advantage, smiling she left as her plot begun. She would report her to the council and they might surely behead her for her sin, that's one way to get rid of her,she scoffed and entered her chambers.

Elizabeth sat on armchair ,she was stressed out and Queen Lila handed her a cup of water and she drank to her utmost desire.

"What you did today was brave,I'm proud of you, you are indeed an icon as they portray you to be, putting other people needs before your own, I'm she must be grateful to you for saving her life,don't worry about the council, I'm sure they will understand what you did and if they don't ,I will stand by you and I'm sure others will stand by you too". Elizabeth managed to put up a smile,

" you must be tired,I will leave you to sleep,you need all the strength you can get ".Closing the door behind, The princess mind traveled throughout miles and at last she fell asleep, she had made up her mind to face whatever consequences they had for her.

Morning came,the sun was up and every female trooped out of the hall,each hugging their husband, the rest making their way home, no body said a thing about last night,Elizabeth was a little down and as she turned her gaze around she caught sight of the king looking at her while hugging his wife, she glanced away and made her way to her chambers, he knew something was up,he could read her like an open book.

The council always had their morning meetings and Queen Amaya dressing in a her best attire came in unannounced and said " My council, please don't be offended but I have a complaint "," Queen Amaya, do you have any idea that we in the middle of a meeting, Jason added briefly but there was anger in his voice, he knew her well enough and that she hated politics, so she was definitely up to something but before he she could answer ,Lord Laguard intervened "Jason,let her be ,she has every right like everyone to state her point and is our duty to listen and help her out in anyway we can,so Queen Amaya was your complaint",

" Thank you My Lord,I was wondering what if someone was ever to break a rule for example, leaving the hall before daylight,what would be his/her punishment ",OK she was up to something and the cold stare she gave him made him feel this had something to do with Elizabeth, she hated her and he knew but she wasn't that brutal to do such a thing or maybe he didn't know her well enough, his thought was shattered when Lord Laguard spoke" My Queen, such act would bring about Death or banishment, why do you ask?",

"In my presence someone committed that sinful act ",

" who?,

"It is no other than our dearest princess,Princess Elizabeth", Everyone was speechless but Jason at that moment felt shattered,he felt like he was dreaming and wished to wake up.

" Are you sure of what you are saying Amaya?,

"Why would I lie with something so important Jason, you can ask her yourself if you don't believe me,I'm sure would explain it better, I just thought I should speak up to avoid calamities since laws are made for a reason",

" You may leave, Queen Amaya, we will see to it that something is done,thanks for letting us know ",she bowed and left.

" There must be a reason for what she did,Jason tried to reason with them",

"Whatever it is,it isn't enough reason to break a sacred law,king Jala added and the council murmured among themselves.

" Silence,we will call Elizabeth and hear her own side of the story ".

Immediately, guards were sent to call her from her chambers.

In a twinkle of an eye she was summoned.
