Chapter 14

Asher waited patiently outside of Alashia’s door with her coffee and a bottle of Tylenol. He could hear her rummaging through the door thanks to his acute hearing and chuckled as she cursed and, he thought, fell over putting her boots on.

When she opened the door and saw him, she smiled, and once she saw the cup of coffee in his hand, she turned puppy dog eyes on him. Handing her the coffee and pulling out the bottle of Tylenol, he laughed. “No need, these are for you, per the recommendation of Chase.”

She moaned on her first taste of coffee. Literally moaned. He adjusted himself discreetly. It was coffee, for heaven’s sake. The noises she made from coffee made him wonder what she sounded like in bed.

“Let’s go, you bad boy.” She admonished.

“Bad boy?”

“You left me alone with someone I barely know. I’d be much angrier if I didn’t like her. The coffee earns you forgiveness, but you are still bad.”

“Are you comparing me to a dog?”

Alashia laughed heartily at his extreme offense. “Yes, sir.” she purred, and when she looked back at him trailing behind her, she saw him staring at her ass.

Her hand grasped the necklace, and a thought occurred to her. She accidentally dropped her purse and bent slowly to retrieve it. He stopped in his tracks, jaw-dropping. Throwing a smirk over her shoulder, she straightened out and arrived at the elevator.

When they loaded into it, she held her breath. He was looking at her with a hunger she didn’t know was possible. Swallowing, she realized it was just the two of them heading down. He came up behind her and moved her hair away from her neck. “You smell so good, Pet.” he placed a small kiss on her neck and moved away.

The shocks that fluttered through her made her clench and her breath was shaky. All that from a few whispered words and a small kiss. Oh, lords.

Asher stepped back just as the doors opened with a chuckle. That was more fun than he had thought.

Spotting Chase in the entryway, they all waited patiently for their tour guide to arrive so that they could see all the main sites and tourist attractions for Niagara Falls.
