“Max. I am sorry.” I say looking up at him from the stairs. Lizzie squeezes my knee and gets up and walks towards the sitting room. Sarah looks at me and links me.
“Go be honest and tell him how you truly feel, hold nothing back. You never know when it could be the last time you talk to him.” She links me and touches her forehead to mine and says, “You good Chief.” She stands all confidence like the touching moment never happened and walks to the sitting room. I stand up and look at Max.
“Do you mind following me?” I say to him timidly.
