Elizabeth/Lizzie – POV
As we Sarah pulls up to the house, I see Trey and Lance pacing on the porch and run down as they see us. I have Gracie asleep on me, “Trey, come here and help me. Why is she so heavy?” I start pulling Gracie towards to the door when the front door opens, Max walks out and comes to me.
“I can get her.” Max says coming up behind Trey.
Trey turns and is angry. He looks at Max, “I think you have done enough right now.” He says taking Gracie from me and walks up the steps bypassing Max. Max looks dejected, puts his hand in his pockets and turns to follow us in.
“I am sorry. I wanted to help, but I took it too far and I just thought I was helping.” Max said as he followed us up the stairs and stops at the door to her room.
