“Lizzie, where are you and Kyle going?” Charlie asks as she turns the car on.
“I was thinking of a picnic over by the river. Remember Gracie we would all go over to the large area and play, you know where it opens up and is like a lake almost on the north end. We would sneak over because it was on George’s land. We thought it was unclaimed.” I nod as we look at each other.
“I remember that is where you told me you had a crush on Kyle when we were in 7th grade, I think.” She nods as I tell her.
“I have Kim setting up some lights and an area on our side of the river. Mary is going to pack dinner up for us and we will have a picnic.” Lizzie says smiling. “What about you Charlie?”
