Anna. I pace around my living room, biting my lower lip as the tension thickens in the air. After leaving the king residence, I battled my thoughts all the way home. With a glass of red wine in hand, I hoped it would help clear my mind, but it hasn't. Instead, I find myself staring at my phone, its screen flickering with three unread messages from Jack. I down the last of the velvety liquid, letting out a deep sigh that echoes through the silence of my home. Refilling my glass, I desperately seek solace at the bottom of the bottle.
