Leo stood at my bedroom door. He had his hand on the frame. He was about to leave. Then he stopped and turned his head. He looked right at me. "Did Auntie call you?" he asked. The room went cold. It felt like all the warm air just got sucked out of the window. My chest got tight. I could not breathe right. Just hearing that name did this to me. It always did. Auntie. I shook my head fast.
