Benjamin has a lot on his plate. His wife and newborn son. His father's company. His extended family. Thus, having a group that makes sure of his loved ones safety helps keep his mind at ease and him go on with his work every day with not much to worry about.
His shadows consist of seven people. Secretly communicating with each other through their leader, Paul. Ben assembled this group back when Boon turned 18. Some of these people were Ben's childhood friends whom he separated ways with when they were younger.
