Zack POV
I waited impatiently for Kristine to be wheeled into her room. When I saw her coming down the hall, I hurried to her side, but she was still asleep. She was pale, but her hand was warm. “Kristine, can you hear me baby?” I asked through our mind-link. Silence. Soon she would be awake, and soon we would find out who did this to her.
“Kristine!” I heard from behind me. I turned and saw Alpha Seth racing towards us. I stood up blocking him from her. “Are you blocking me from seeing my daughter?” Seth asked. “I am blocking everyone from seeing my mate,” I said to him coldly. “I had nothing to do with this. I was as much a victim as she was,” he said belligerently.
