Kristine POV
After what felt like hours of endless tests, I was back in my room. “I am ready to go home,” I said tiredly to Zack. “Are you sure? You sound exhausted to me,” Zack replied. “I think I will heal faster at home,” I murmured as I shut my eyes. “We will see what the doctor says,” Zack said as I drifted off to sleep.
It was much later when I felt myself waking. My room was dark once again and Zack was lying beside me. I looked up to see him watching me. “Sorry, how long was I asleep?” I mumbled tiredly. Zack smiled at me, “As long as you needed,” he replied. “Any word from the doctor yet?” I asked, sitting up as I remembered why we were still in the hospital.
