Ted seemed not to hear anything. He started rocking gently on top of Laila. Laila closed her eyes tightly, and along with the pain was the sensation brought by Ted’s gentle but deep stroke. After a few seconds, Ted stiffened on top of her. "Lai, I'm sorry, I couldn't stop myself," Ted said. Suddenly, he remembered Laila's father had told him, who warned him not to have any romantic relationship with Laila. Laila was crying in fear. Besides the pain, she was afraid of what she and Ted did. They were both young and still studying. She stood up with trembling knees. Ted helped her get dressed. Her skirt was stained with blood.
