I was woken by a hard slam. My heart going frantic as I searched the room for Angelos. All I saw was Xavier standing at the door, giving me an apologetic smile.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you, I wanted to surprise you with breakfast in bed, but I didn’t have a hand to grab the door as it swung open.” He was holding a tray of food in his hands, he came towards me to give me the tray. I noticed Ryker switching on the lights and closing the door.
“Surprise! I thought you might be hungry, you need to get your energy up I have a big day planned for us. I asked them to give you fresh fruit salad. It has lots of vitamins.” He was oddly hyper and all over the place. He must be trying to compensate for the Angelos thing.
