"What a day," I thought as Emery and I headed to our room.
This trip was just what we needed. Emery was uncomfortable transitioning into my pack, and I didn't blame her. I could not imagine what my mate went through the past few years. She was taken from a world she knew and loved and tossed into a completely different realm to become a slave.
Emery lost all her family and friends due to mistreatment from my kind. I needed to work more with the kingdom, ensuring we put a stop to these practices.
My mate wants to give me a chance, and she is willing to accept my mark. I must make this realm a safe and welcoming place for her. I don't want Emery to feel uncomfortable.
