I looked over at Celia after Stella explained everything. If I went with Stella, that would mean leaving Celia behind with Emery. Celia still needed a little more time to fully heal from the birth of our pups before she could assist in any fight or war.
I also did not feel safe leaving her alone with Emery. I trusted Emery was truthful about no knowledge of who she was, but why did Emery get separated from her family? Could someone be tracking her and using her as a spy within the kingdom? Stella may be a strong witch, but she couldn't detect every spell.
A pureblood vampire is strong, and I find it hard to believe one could be contained so easily. Emery's mother and sister may be held in Alpha Samuel's pack, but it could also be a trap. Stella was confident she was a prisoner
