Adam smiled as he stood up from the couch. "You made a wise decision, Celia," he said.
Stella held her head low. I knew she disagreed with the deal I had just made, but I was confident the bond Caius and I shared was strong enough to beat anything.
Stormy believed in our strength as well. "The demon can bind us to Adam, but we will break it or kill him," she howled.
I knew this meant being separated from Caius again, but I would break free.
"Bring Caius here," Adam demanded, looking at Stella.
Why did he need Caius to come here? If Caius saw me, he would never let me complete the deal.
