"You spoke to Rose?" Lucian finally spoke up after some time of being quiet.
"Yes, I did," I said sadly. He gazed at me briefly before he looked away.
"How did it go?" he asked calmly. It was hard to read his mood at this moment.
I responded defeatedly. Her words still stung, and I don't know if I was overreacting.
He smiled shortly."I told you so." He grinned weakly. I smiled at his words because they were true and he warned me about them, but I still went ahead and did the same thing he warned me about.
Silence took over again. I looked around the area where the pack normally had the bonfires. It's like this part of the pack didn't change much. The breeze blew in one direction, giving me this serene feeling.
