“Faunie, can you help me?” Beau watched Flora as she struggled to tie her hair bow. When Beau began teaching the twins to tie their own shoes, Faun exceeded where Flora lagged behind. It was something he liked to remind his sister of every time they sat at the front door and he laced up his sneakers while she slipped on a pair of ballet flats. Faun took one look at the lacy bow, crossed his arms, and frowned at her. “I’m not tying a bow in your hair. That’s girl stuff.” Beau pinched her lips together before she prepared to interrupt.
