"I'll break your bones first, and then put you out of your misery... uh... uh... uh..." Dave sneered, but his words were abruptly cut short as a midnight black sword pierced his neck. "You talk too much," Charles said, pushing the sword deeper into Dave's throat. Dave's eyes widened in shock, his words silenced by the cold steel, as he slumped against Charles, who was still struggling to lift himself off the ground.
Unbeknownst to Dave, Charles had seized the opportunity to summon Athen while Dave was distracted by his own monologue. Charles had received his mission reward, and his eyes had widened in awe as he examined the properties of the demon slayer sword.
