The car skidded into a nearby thicket, and Charles, Drago, and Sofia quickly evacuated, pulling Katherine to safety as they took cover behind the crippled vehicle. They readied themselves to return fire, their eyes fixed on the incoming Toyota.
"Take Sofia and get out of here, I'll provide cover," Drago ordered, his voice low and urgent. He retrieved two MP5 rifles from beneath the driver's seat and handed one to Charles.
With a fierce determination, Drago began laying down a withering field of fire, unleashing a barrage of bullets at the approaching vehicle. The Toyota's paneling was quickly perforated, and a few well-placed shots struck the fuel tank. The car erupted in a spectacular explosion, sending shrapnel and debris soaring into the air as a fireball engulfed the wreckage.
