Audrey, are gonna have dinner with me today?, Des asked changing the topic.
ooh no..., I'm going out with my dad for a business dinner. I can't make it today sorry, I said apologetically.
okay no problem, call me when you get home, Des added.
sure, I will, I added.
He pecked my cheek , waved as goodbye and left.
Girl that was close, Kelly said.
Thanks kell, you saved me today. I nearly had a heart attack.
Chill girl what are friends for and what is up with this dinner you are talking about.
Oh that?, I'm going to meet my so called fiancee today, I said.
I thought you said you aren't pushing through with it?, Kelly asked.
Relax girl I'm going to sought things out with my dad today.

I sat on my chair and started working on a project assigned by the boss himself.
Erica one of my colleagues, entered my office while looking at her back.
I was amazed to see her there. She's the timid type and doesn't like conversations with others, always on her work like myself.
Oops I didn't tell you what our job is about right?. I work in a fashion industry. We design clothes and jewelries.
Hey Rica, can I help you with something?, I asked with a smile.
To tell you the truth, I have always wanted to have her in my group, she's hardworking and determined. Sometimes I see myself in her.
No, nothing I just wanna tell you something, She said.
I hope I am not disturbing?, she added.
oh no, you aren't, what is it?, is anyone bothering you?,... I asked back.
Nope, it's not about me, it's about you.
About me?, I asked in astonishment.
she nodded in reply.
okay go on, I said.
Do you really trust Desmond and Kelly?, she begun.
why do you ask?,... I asked back because I didn't like where it was getting to.
it's just that, I can see you are really good to them. I even heard you and Des are going out.
Recently I have been seeing them in places that isn't good,... I wanted to alert you, to be wary of them and not trust them too much, she concluded
Des and Kelly?, I asked with a face while smiling.
You were talking of trust?, I trust them more than myself.
I met them in my most terrible state and they showed me how to go on with it.
You know when I first met them, I didn't think they would become this important to me.
I remember the first time I started talking to them, they were the reason I got my life back, the reason I had the motivation to do things again, the reason I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
They are the people I can't go a day without talking to.
And you are saying they are betraying me?, maybe you are mistaking because they can never betray me.
I defended them without thinking twice.
Okay, if you say so. I didn't find it right, what I saw, and wanted you to know.
I guess I was wrong. I should be leaving then, Erica said and stood up ready to leave.
Rica..., I called just before she left.
Anyways thanks for that, I really mean it. Now I know I have someone looking after my back.
Erica nodded in reply and left Audrey's office.
I kept myself busy with work after Erica's visit.
I almost forgot it was time to go home until Kelly alerted me.
I packed my things and set off to the house.
I'm having dinner with my Dad, I don't even know how to bring up the topic of Des and I, without him getting angry.
I know he's going to get angry, but he will sooner or later understand.
I sat in my car and drove off.
