  Lydia busied herself by helping the elderly around town. Mrs. Hendricks had needed help organizing her attic. Old man Turner had needed someone to fix his fence. Simple tasks that kept her hands busy and her mind from wandering to places it shouldn't like wondering if Ethan's wound was healing properly or if he was taking care of himself at all.
