“What did you call me here for, Daisy?”
Laurence put the newspaper aside and looked at Daisy. She didn't think Daisy asked her here for nothing.
Daisy relented when she heard the question. She held the pillow and asked seriously, “Do you remember the couple you met in the mountains?”
“Yeah.”
Daisy squinted as she thought of her guess about the real leading Whites. If she was right, it would be much easier for her to revenge.
