"Darren has settled them down," answered Daisy at once when she saw Laurence's excitement.
When Laurence heard that, she grabbed the bad and was about to go out.
Daisy grabbed her puzzledly.
"It's so late now. Where are you going?"
"Go to them."
She had an institution that the couple knew something of the Whites, which was why they suddenly disappeared. Since they tried so hard to find them, she wanted to go to them right away.
"It's too late now. Besides, you are a star now. You may be photographed. That's too dangerous."
Hearing that, Laurence lowered to check her wristwatch. She then found that it was already nine o'clock.
She knew Daisy was right, so she finally put her bad down after hesitating for a while.
