Khione walked up and down the hall outside of Ares's door, contemplating what she should say to him. On one hand, she couldn't wait to see him again but on the other, she felt guilty that the main reason she was finally reaching out to him was because she needed something from him. She was on the verge of convincing herself to walk away when she was suddenly left with no choice.
"How long do you plan to stay out here?"
Khione gasped and spun around so fast she lost her balance. Ares quickly moved forward and held on to her by the waist before she fell to the ground, making the butterflies in her stomach lose control once again.
