Getting permission to visit the Mountain Gale pack was a piece of cake for Khione. All it took was one phone call to her grandfather telling him she wanted to visit his pack, and he had done all the hard work for her. Although the Alpha Prince had strict rules about allowing everyone to leave the Kingdom, Khione was on her way to the Mountain Gale pack only a day after finding out that Irene was residing there.
"Do you think this is safe?" Jasper asked as he walked as close as possible to Khione. He kept looking around anxiously as if a monster would jump out to attack them.
"We know who the murderer is and we know what his hunting patterns are," Khione told him. "We should be fine. Besides if anything happens, Felix and I will protect you."
