The meeting concluded but Arawn and the council members stayed back to discuss something "important". In any other situation, Khione would have been worried that they were picking sides, however in that moment, Khione couldn't care less. By the end of the night, the council members would all be on Khione's side.
So without any worries at all, Khione followed Ares outside in hopes that she could speak to him before he does anything irrational. Her biggest worry was that he would leave the palace.
"Ares!" she called out to him and although he stopped moving, he did not turn around to face her. She could tell from his heaving back that he was trying to calm himself down though.
Khione walked around so that she could face him but Ares looked away from her.
