Khione was beginning to feel very anxious. Arawn had announced to the council that they would be signing the marriage papers the next day yet there was still no news about Eira and Irene.
"Khione!"
Khione turned in the direction of the voice and couldn't help but smile upon seeing the beautiful Sumeira run up to her.
Sumeira pulled her into a deep hug and although Khione was slightly surprised but the sudden movement, she welcomed the hug. It helped ease her nerves.
"It has been so long!" Khione said as she pulled back. "How have you been?"
Sumeira let out a deep sigh and shook her head, "Tough," she said before she looked back at the group of men who were running laps around the oval.
The last time Khione and Sumeira had met, Sumeira had been promoted to a general-in-training.
