Malia had to admit that going on to school alone this time instead of with Mason like she had been doing all week was uncomfortable. She had this nagging feeling that she had forgotten something and she kept on checking her backpack to make sure she had everything. It was starting to really rub her the wrong way on how off she felt.
“Honey, I think you can safely say that everything you need is in there.” Her father had an edge of amusement in his voice as he spoke.
She looked up from yet another search through her bag to look at him as he smiled at her. “I just wanted to be sure.”
He chuckled and shook his head. “Yeah I think you will find the same things in there that were there the last ten times you searched.”
