Two days. It had been two days and I was a f*****g wreck. I was so worried I couldn’t think straight and Ren was trying his best to help me while going through his own hell. I know they’re more connected than we are, and he’s the only reason she wants me at all. I feel her pull from me to find her comfort in him, and I try not to be hurt by it, but it’s so hard not to. I love her so much, but I’m not the type of man she wants and if it wasn’t for the mate bond she would never look twice in my direction. Ren though, he’s her everything. He’s soft with her and no one else, and I don’t know how to let that guard down.
