Chapter 5: The King and Queen

Aura

After the huge breakfast Maddox cooked, we returned to our room for numerous rounds of love making.

On the bed, in the shower, on the desk and my personal favourite in front of the mirror watching him thrust into me from behind. We were having a rest in between rounds when Maddox's phone starts ringing. Ignoring the call does nothing as it only continues to ring.

Groaning he rolls over to answer it. "What Dad?" he answers

Lying on his chest I try to listen into the half of the conversation I can hear.

"How many were there?... Yes.... yes... Ok.... ok 20 minutes in the conference room got it.. bye," He says

"What is it baby, what happened?" I say pulling his eyes to look into mine.

Sighing he responds " Rogue attack on the outskirts of the kingdom. Four dead, approximately 12 rogues. Dad has called a meeting. We need to be there in 20 minutes. So get up and dressed," he finishes whilst walking in the the robe to get clothes.

He throws some underwear and a dress at me, pulling on jeans and a t-shirt himself. Rolling off the bed I pull on the clothes. Walking into the bathroom I fix my hair and apply light makeup. Maddox walks in behind me and wraps his arms around my waist.

"You look beautiful as always baby, lets go," He pulls me out of the room again and we head in the direction of the kitchen but just before it we reach it, we take a right and suddenly stopped in front of a large wooden door with gold edging with the large Royal Family Crest sitting centre on the door.

Knocking once Maddox pushes the door open pulling me into the room with him. The door revealed a large room with a round rectangular table with at least twenty chairs around it. At the head of the table where four chairs larger than the other. The two on the right were occupied by the most beautiful couple I'd ever seen.

The woman had flowing blonde hair, with piercing blue eyes and her skin glows with a slight tan. Her partner has her matching skin but black hair and a strong jaw line. I could feel the power radiating from them.

Tugging on my elbow Maddox pulls me toward the chairs and the beautiful couple in them.

"Aura, this is my Mum and Dad. Mum, Dad this is Aura, my true Mate from the Moon Goddess," Maddox introduces.

Next thing I know I'm trapped in a bone crushing huge by his mother.

"Oh my God, I'm so happy to finally meet you. You're so beautiful. I can't wait to help you with all your pups,"She rambles on.

"Lara leave the girl be for now," Maddox's Dad interrupts "Its lovely to me you Aura, I'm Cole and this is my Mate Lara. But you can call us Mum and Dad like Maddox." He says.

"Its lovely to meet you as well, and thank you for welcoming so warmly," I say giving my best smile.

Maddox takes a seat next to his Dad at the head of the table and pulls me into his lap.

"I'm not quite ready to let any unmated man see you just yet so I'm probably going to be an over bearing asshole this entire meeting,"He whispers in my ear.

I shrug, there are no objections from me to be in his arms. I glance over at his parents who are only looking at us with gooey eyes.

A loud knock sounds and a large man walks in and bows toward us.

"Alpha, are you ready for the Generals to enter?" He asked

"Yes, bring them in," Cole spoke load and clear

The man nods and swings the door open completely, a queue of men enter the room and began filling the seats around the table. But not before Maddox growled and nearly lowered every man to his knees that dared to glance in my direction.

Once everyone was seated Cole stands up and opens the meeting.

"As you all know we have just had an attack on one of our boarders. Four adults have been murdered and the rogues made off with 3 pups. Their numbers aren't confirmed but we know there was more than fifteen of them. We need a plan to get these pups back, and I need to know why they were taken in the first place. But more than anything I want to know how the f**k a group that large got through our boarders without us know," He yells slamming his fist down on the table.

Many of the men visibly flinch at his movements. The man who came in first stands up.

"Alpha, I have sent out a rotation to check every inch of our boarders and I have our best three trackers already on the rogues trails. The rest of the trackers are ready to go waiting on your orders," He states

"Thank you Beta, send the rest of the trackers now, I want those pups back as soon as possible and I want answers on the boarder issue within the hour. Am I understood?"Cole demands.

The room nod in unison and start filling out the door. Lara walks over to me, pulling me from Maddox's arms. Which earns her a growl.

"Oh shut it, I need her for Luna business," She's says pulling me away from Maddox.

"We need to go visit the Mothers of the kidnapped pups, well two of them. Sadly one of them passed in the attack and we now have the sad job of trying to find a new home for the child," Lara says grimly.
