Chapter 2: Moving out

Maddox

I didn't even want to come to this stupid ball, I was going to find my mate on my own terms. I didn't need my Dad stepping in trying to help. I rocked up late on purpose so I could just give the speech and leave. I mumbled through the speech my Dad wrote and left the stage as soon as I could. Trying to make a break for the door I was looking for my escape route when I felt eyes burning into my back. I turned and found the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life. I met her green eyes and I knew. The world faded around us, only she existed to me now.

"Mate," I called as I pulled her into my arms. One thing I knew was she was never getting away from me.

Pulling back slightly to look into her eyes again I introduced myself. " Hi Baby, I'm Maddox. What is the name of the other half of my soul," I asked

With a twinkle in her eye she replied "Aura," Her name burned into my heart. I pulled her back into my chest and breathed in her scent. She smelt like vanilla and everything sweet. She wrapped her arms around my waist and leaned further into me. I was content to keep her in my arms forever.

"Ahem," Came from behind me. I turned with Aura still in my arms to see my Beta Paul.

" Your Dad wants you home within the hour, we must be leaving," He said

I gave a grunt and nodded and walked away with my mate in my arms.

"Are all your things packed," I asked her

She smiled up at me almost bringing me to my knees "Yes Baby, I'm ready to go with you," She replied.

Finally releasing her from my embrace I grabbed her hand and turned back to follow Paul out to the car. She gave us directions to her house and we curled up on the back seat together on the way there.

As we pulled up her mother came walking out of the house already carrying my mates things, ready to send us on our way. My mate got out of the car and ran to her mother.

" Mum, it happened. I found my mate!" She yelled excitedly to her Mother.

They embraced each other tightly and then she remembered me behind her.

" Mum this is my Mate Maddox, Maddox this is my Mum," She said positioning herself within my arms again.

I was already loving how she had the need to touch me as much as I needed to be touching her constantly.

" Thank you for raising my mate and looking after her so well I am beyond belief that your daughter is actually mine she is far too perfect for the likes of me," I said smiling sweetly at my Mates Mother.

"Nonsense Maddox, you two are perfect. We better get Aura's things loaded so you can be on your way and start making my Grandbabies. Also from now on you call me Mum," She said.

My Mates cheeks flushed red at what her Mother said, I just laughed and squeezed her tighter in my arms.

"Okay Mum,'" I replied

We packed most of Aura's things and asked her Mother to post the rest to us. After a tearful good bye we got back into the car and drove towards the new life I had install for my mate. Aura and I were curled up in the back of the car together talking about everything and anything getting to know each other.

"So rapid fire questions. Whats your favourite colour? When's your Birthday? Whats your favourite thing to do? and How many kids do you want?," She fired at me all will maintaining the cutest smile on the face of the Earth.

" Ok so my favourite colour is green like your eyes, my Birthday is 14 of March, I would say one of my favourite things to do is read and lastly I want as many kids as you will give me," I said planting a kiss on her forehead.

"Ok," She replied giving a small blush. We continued our conversation like this for a while until she was trying to hide her yawning. I pulled her head into my lap and played with her hair until she fell asleep. This was heaven, the other half of my soul is perfect in every way, I could sit here forever as long as she was touching me.

I went back to playing with her hair when my phone rung.

"Hi Dad," I said.

" You were supposed to be home an hour and a half ago where the hell are you!"He shouted through the phone.

"I have a good excused I promise. I found my Mate. And Dad let me tell you she is perfect in every way. We are only late because we went to her house to get all her things and say good bye to her Mum."

"Son I am so happy for you, I'm guessing you want to be left alone for a few days when you get back then eh?" my Dad said.

"Yes Dad, now can I hang up my mates asleep in my lap and I don't want to wake her," I said

"Ok Son," He said and hung up.
