After we delivered to supplies to the neighboring village it was time to head back home. With several Whipps later and an annoyed Candace, we arrive home to our little Village. I pulled the wagon beside my little hut. My dad unstrapped me from the wagon. As soon as I felt the freedom from the straps, I took off. I knew exactly where I was going. I ran into the woods, jumping over the broken trees that lay dead on the ground now. What felt like forever but was actually a few minutes I arrived at the clearing. There it was right in front of me, the lake. It was breathtaking. As I stood in front of the lake I shifted knowing no one would be around to see my naked body.
I bent down touching the surface of the water. It's cool touch sending shivers down my back. I looked at my reflection in the water, seeing my bright blue eyes sparkling. My plump red lips curved at the sight. This is the only place where I can be myself. It's like a weight lifts off my shoulder when I'm here. My long blonde hair fell from behind my shoulders and into the water. I laughed and took that as a sign to go ahead and get in.
I dipped my toes into the water. Why do I have to do this every time? It's like if I don't dip my toes in first then I can't deal with the cool waters of the lake. Slowly I make my way into the water, Feeling the water on my thighs and then my stomach. As soon as the water hits my breast I take a deep breath and jump up in the air. As my body is coming down I seel the water engulfing me. When my head is underwater I open my eyes. I can see clear as day. The fish are swimming around me like I've been there so many times they're used to my presence. I swim forward to go to the big rock that sticks out in the middle of the lake. I put my hands on the rock and lift myself out of the water onto the rock. The surface of the rock is smooth because of water corrosion when the lake becomes flooded. It's still a little bumpy but still comfortable enough to lay on.
As I lay there soaking up the sun, I watch the clouds go by. I'm sure I was there for hours before I head them. Their laughter boomed through the forest. I could tell there were more than a dozen men because of all the voices. I slowly got back in the water trying not to make and sudden movement just before they appeared in the clearing.
