10 ASHER Finally, I was close enough to speak to Dallas and Simon. The first thing Simon said was, Looks like our skip's a shifter. Well, damn. That complicated things. This wouldn't be the first shifter we had tracked, but it certainly reduced our chances of getting paid. For one, other shifters would be able to tell we'd been sniffing around, unlike humans.
