‘It’s time Child’ Serena says to me, she is standing in front of me.
“Time for what Serena?” I ask dumbfounded.
‘Time for us to become one of course. This is what you’ve been waiting for’ Serena rolls her eyes, like I should know already.
“I don’t think I’m ready…” I whispered to myself.
‘You are more than ready Annie. Trust me’ She gently nudges me with her snout.
As soon as she touches me I feel a sting in my chest. I clutch at my heart, trying desperately to make it stop. It only gets worse.
‘I’m so sorry I have to do this Annie… if there were any other way…’ Serena’s eyes hold sadness and regret. My heart feels like it’s about to explode, I drop to my knees.
