Kay stood there, staring at where the angel had just been a few seconds ago. He felt confused, concerned, guilty—he had never seen Michael’s face make that expression before. Gina, who had noticed that he was behind the group, walked back to him and curiously looked at what he was so intently staring at. “Hey. You stopped. You okay? Are you tired or something?” she asked, even though she was pretty sure that wasn’t the case.
