Kay's baggage landed on the ground with a thud, which was followed immediately by the shutting of the door, and Kay himself plopping onto his familiar bed. He had to take off his coat and boots. He had to take a shower. He had to fix his luggage. There were a lot of tasks he had yet to finish, but all the bus rides, and the uphill trails, and not to mention all the socializing!—they all got to him; and now all he wanted to do was lie on his bed, stare up at the familiar fake stars stuck to his ceiling, and sleep.
